What is the need for you to use an ERP Software?

Many businesses are struggling more to manage their higher-priority business tasks by providing limited attention to repetitive as well as simpler tasks. This is the place where businesses collapse due to the restrictions such as workload and incompetency. If this issue is soon sorted out, businesses will be able to carry out their day-to-day tasks without any hurdles or distractions. This will, in turn, decipher itself into increased ROI. With an ERP Software, the probability of better performance as well as increased productivity is much more. This will pave way for an increase in ROI.

Enterprise Business management is a wide area which requires streamlining of all your business processes and resources. Rather than investing your valuable time and money in carrying out your substantive and repetitive tasks, you can focus on important tasks using an ERP Software.

Speaking about the real-time business scenario, there are many businesses which have started investing in ERP Software. In accordance with Economic times, Enterprise software is found to experience the highest growth rate with an 8.3% increase in 2019, while Software as a Service (SaaS) is much more growth-efficient in almost all software segments. Customer relationship management (CRM) Software is preferred due to increased focus while providing better customer experiences.

The better example of manual handling of business processes is spreadsheets. Majority of the salespeople, accountants as well as project teams are depending on spreadsheets to track the lead status, maintain their balance sheets and track the progress of the project. But to be frank, spreadsheets are not the best option for all these processes.

Mr. Vaidheswaran Business Analyst at New Dream Data Systems Pvt Ltd says that the usage of Spreadsheets comprises of 3 disadvantages.

  • Changelog tracing is not possible – i.e when the same workbook is being updated by many people, there will arise much confusion on who updated what and when. Those log entries are tougher to store or trace out.
  • Data Entry consumes much more time. Making use of some external application like an ERP Software would generate less time than using the spreadsheet itself.
  • The spreadsheet is considered to be an entry sheet – permanent data storage is impossible. It is the biggest disadvantage when Excel gets connected with some DB system via VBA programming.

The manual processes that spreadsheets and other applications involve will have its own drawbacks. With an ERP Software, you can overcome all these hang-ups.
